Are you leaving fingerprints on people?

Did you know that no two fingerprints are alike?

Not just among the people you know, or in your city or your country. Among every human being who has ever lived — billions of people across thousands of years — not one fingerprint has ever been duplicated.

Not one.

God doesn’t do copies. You were born an original.

He designed you with something nobody else carries. Your story, your voice, your very being. The specific way you see the world, love people, and show up in a room. There has never been anyone exactly like you, and there never will be again.

That’s not just something to motivate you. That’s how God built things.

But here’s what I'm learning.

A fingerprint only shows up when you touch something.

You can carry yours your whole life — this unique, unrepeatable design — and leave no mark at all. Or you can press in, show up, reach out, and leave something on someone’s life that wasn’t there before you arrived.

God is sending people your way every single day. Not by accident, and certainly not by coincidence. He has chosen, very specifically and intentionally, to work through people. Through you. Through the conversation you almost didn’t have, or the text you almost didn’t send, or the moment you almost let pass.

The river flows through people, and you’re part of it, whether you realize it or not.

InBeyond the Noise,I wrote about purpose not as something you find, but something you express. You don’t discover purpose by leaving buttprints. You uncover it by leaving footprints.

You see, the world isn’t waiting for you to have it all figured out.

It’s waiting for you to show up, ready or not.

So here’s your one assignment this week.

Leave your fingerprint on someone’s life.

A word, a call, a meal, or a card. A moment of honest presence in a distracted world. It doesn’t have to be dramatic; it just has to be intentional.

You were made for this. Created for it. Designed down to the pattern on your fingertips.

Press in.
