We’ve moved past the resolutions for the new year. In other words, most people — over 80% — have forgotten or abandoned the resolutions they made. Here are some thoughts that are front and center for me this year. Maybe they will help you focus a bit too.
- Do it now! Do it now — Scared, indifferent or otherwise. There may be no tomorrow.
- Don’t wait for things to change or for things to go back to normal. Start with what you have from where you are.
- Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.
- Take the spotlight off you. Make your life about others.
- Your dreams are to help someone else. Your comfort is to help yourself.
- If you aren’t encountering a comfort zone issue regularly, something is wrong. ~Bruce Wilkinson.
- What are you willing to give up in 2022 to get where you need to be? To where you want to be? To where God called you to be?
- Be on the constant search for your sweet spot.
- What’s holding you back from _________? Fill in the blank with a dream, a project, a phone call to someone, a trip you need to take, changing jobs?
- You will either learn to pray or learn to live in defeat.
- Until we come to terms with (spiritual) war as the context of our days, we will not understand life. We will misinterpret 90 percent of what is happening around us and to us. ~John Eldredge.
- Are you the type of person with whom you would like to spend the rest of your life?
- God is still more concerned with who we are becoming than what we accomplish.
- What you say “yes” to will determine the course of your life.
- Do you believe in yourself? Your belief will drive your behavior. ~John Maxwell.
- Think about it. Winners and losers have the same goals. So why do some win and some lose?
- Stop complaining about what’s wrong. Do something about it!
- A long obedience in the same direction is sound advice! Stay the course.
- Underlying conditions have an impact on physical health. So, too, they impact mental and spiritual health.
- Three things we can control: Actions. Reactions. Mindset. You can’t control the rest of the stuff, so stop trying.
- You won’t change people until you change yourself.
- Right people. Right place. Right time. It doesn’t get better than that.
