Everyone needs a people. A president has his cabinet, a CEO has his board, a church has small groups, King Arthur had his Knights of the Round Table, a mom has her besties, and a sports team has its huddle. And Jesus had his twelve. You need people you can count on in a pinch and come to know deeply and depend on intrinsically.
Today more than ever, everyone needs a people. And you have a choice of who these people are. We long for relationship. We were created for relationship. We try and fail and try again because we are born with the need for fellowship and relationship. And we try and fail and try again because we choose poorly and feel stuck. We try and fail and finally give up because disappointment, discouragement, fear, and hurt lead us to conclude it’s hopeless and useless. But everyone needs a people.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Chip Bailey is an encourager-in-chief and believes everyone should live out the dream God has placed in their hearts. He is a Ramsey Preferred Coach, a Master Financial Coach, a member of the John Maxwell Team, and a life coach.
Chip has worked in Christian media for nearly 30 years. Along the way, he has written hundreds of articles for major newspapers, more than 1,200 blog entries, and three books. Whether serving as a pastor, coach, trainer, worship pastor, or, more recently, chaplain at a large resort with 2,500 employees, he has been a proven trainer, encourager, mentor, teacher, and coach.
Today, Chip serves clients across America to set them up for success in life, relationships, and finances. He works with individuals and couples one-on-one and produces webinars, articles, and instructional materials for training.
The Maxwell Team is a group of certified coaches, trainers, speakers, and professionals who offer workshops, seminars, keynote speaking, and coaching to aid in the personal and professional growth of individuals, organizations, and companies worldwide.
Chip and Elizabeth are Louisiana natives and now live in The Woodlands, Texas. They have six kids scattered from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Bozeman, Montana.
