“The man who does not read good books is no better than the man who can’t.” ~Mark Twain.

Why didn’t I read more and read sooner in life? Good question. If I’d been smarter as a youth, I would be smarter now.

There is a therapeutic result from reading. Studies show reading reduces stress, increases knowledge and confidence, improves brain connectivity, raises vocabulary and comprehension, and improves memory. Okay, I’m in.

Remember: If you read only 20 pages a day, you’ll read the equivalent of 20 books. Some studies show, however, that half of all Americans did not read a book last year. Women read more than men; the younger you are, the less likely you are to read.

I would be remiss if I didn’t start with our recently released book: Your Fab 5. It was the #1 New Release on Amazon recently and has reached #2 on the Amazon Best Seller list.

Here are the books on my lists for 2023.

  • Own your past, Change your future. Dr. John Delony.
  • Coaching for Performance. Sir John Whitmore. (A gift from my son, Jason).
  • The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry. John Mark Comer.
  • On Writing and Writers. C.S. Lewis.
  • From Paycheck to Purpose. Ken Coleman.
  • Several Short Sentences about Writing. Verlyn Klinkenborg.
