Successful people do consistently what other people do only occasionally.
~Craig Groeschel.
We all are consistent — with something. It’s that something that makes or breaks us for good or bad.
Think about what you consistently do in your life.
- Brush your teeth.
- Eat breakfast or lunch.
- Comb your hair.
- Complain or gripe.
- Spend quiet time.
- Watch TV.
- Scroll social media.
- Building a relationship with God or your family.
- Taking care of yourself — physically, mentally, and emotionally.
- Finances. Saving, investing, not spending.
- Spiritual growth.
- Finding and nurturing friends.
- Helping others.
What if I told you that success is less about talents and abilities and more about being consistent in the little things? Fanatically consistent! Warren Buffett says, “We don’t have to be smarter than the rest. We have to be more disciplined than the rest.”
Remember: These things are the result of the things you do consistently.
- Your relationships.
- Your growth — spiritually, emotionally, and mentally.
- Your health — physically and emotionally.
- Your mood.
- Your finances.
Consistency is the key, whether it’s money, relationships, your job or business, or your health. If it sounds simple, that’s because it is. Yes, it’s about building good habits. Yes, it’s about being disciplined. But mostly, it’s about having a plan and some accountability.
And getting started. Walt Disney says, “The way to get started is to stop talking and start doing.” Could you make a plan, set a deadline, and set boundaries? Don’t make it hard.
Keep it simple…and fun!
What do you want to do?
What do you want to learn?
What do you want to give?
