Hello friends, just wanted to update you on our journey.
As many of you know, we left Colorado this year and still unloading boxes in our new home in The Woodlands, Texas. Elizabeth and I developed Covid in late July/early August and were quarantined in a hotel since we had not yet moved into our new home.
We recovered entirely and moved into our new home in mid-August. Subsequently, I began to develop other symptoms that just last week were diagnosed as Guillain-Barre Syndrome. Over the past few weeks, I’ve canceled three trips, have visited the emergency room twice and had more tests conducted than I have combined in the last 15 to 20 years.
We just received word today that the insurance company has approved the treatment after initially denying it. Hopefully, we will begin this treatment in the next several days, and our doctors are confident of a complete recovery over the coming months.
God is good, and we have seen the evidence of Him working in the heavenlies on our behalf time and time again. Whether it’s Elizabeth’s kidney surgery, the sudden death of my mom, our home being struck by lightning, the craziness of this COVID season, the job change, our personal experience with COVID, our move to another part of the country and all the things in between, He has been faithful to us.
Reminds me of the lyric in the song:
And all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God.
Since we call you our friends, we wanted you to know first and request your earnest prayers as we move forward. You can always email us if you have questions, or we can help you.
We continue to joyfully learn to run against the wind!
In case my email addresses to you didn’t work..
I am stunned and worried. Many prayers.
