Focus on the important things

But refuse foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce quarrels. 2 Timothy 2:23.

In these unusual times, it’s crucial that you don’t become bogged down with unnecessary drama and entangled in meaningless conversation. Realize that your life is precious and that your time cannot be replaced. You don’t have time for little concerns that have no real significance. Simply put, you have more important things to do. Arguments and bickering about politics, economic matters, and conspiracy theories only serve to distract and divert your attention from real-life issues that need your attention.

Insulate yourself and stay focused on what matters most: Your family, your future, your priorities, and your faith. Become a bulldog with laser focus and tunnel vision. The cares of this world will chip away at you like a chihuahua nips at your pant legs. As for you, be diligent to avoid the distractions and idle conversations that lead to arguments and needless debate. Recognize your value and spend your time as if it’s the last dollar you have. Soar with the eagles and don’t squander your time hanging with the turkeys.

“Your destiny is to fulfill those things upon which you focus most intently. So choose to keep your focus on that which is truly magnificent, beautiful, uplifting and joyful. Your life is always moving toward something.” ~Ralph Marston.
