Go where the peace is, that’s where you want to be.
In these moments of turmoil and confusion, you need a peace that passes all understanding. Life moves too fast, and there is too much foolishness for you to live without it. Call it essential for your survival. Here’s what you need to know though: If you have lost your peace, no one has taken it from you. You have given it up, freely and willingly. Think about it! Oh, someone may have coerced or manipulated you to give it up, but you relinquished it just the same. The enemy of your soul and the world around you are continually scheming to keep you in chaos and disarray. Jesus made sure you knew that in John 10:10: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy…” If you’ve discovered that you, indeed, have given away your peace, you can get it back. The outline is in the verse below. 1. Don’t worry. 2. Instead, pray. 3. Tell God what you need. 4. Thank him for the answers. Be grateful, even before He answers. Also see: Psalm 34:14; Isaiah 26:3.
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his answers. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus. ~Philippians 4:6-7 (Living Bible).
