“Difficult roads often lead to beautiful destinations. The best is yet to come.” ~Zig Ziglar.
If you’ve ever read the story of The Fork, you know that — as Yogi Berra says — it’s not over ’til it’s over. Life, of course, has dips, valleys and detours, but there is always another mountain top, another victory, another celebration. If Noah had given up, or Job had quit, or Joseph had said “to heck with it”, we wouldn’t have some of the most significant examples for our lives. If McArthur had thrown in the towel or JFK decided the Cuban Missile Crisis wasn’t worth it, we might live in a completely different world. So what happens if you don’t give up today? What lives will you affect if you keep walking through the valley? It’s not over, the best is yet to come. In his great song It’s Not Over, Israel Houghton writes: “It’s not over, it’s not finished. It’s only the beginning when God is in it.” So it doesn’t matter how old you are or how many times you’ve been around the mountain, you ain’t seen nothing yet. Get up and get moving! No matter where you are in your journey, tomorrow the sun will shine brighter, and the roses will be more spectacular. The best is yet to come!
For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. ~Philippians 1:6 NASB
