Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God. ~Corrie ten Boom.
Who do you trust most in your life? Is it yourself? Maybe your spouse or boyfriend/girlfriend? Perhaps it’s your doctor or financial advisor or even your boss. For some, it may be God. Where you place your trust uncovers much about who you are and tells much about your reputation. In fact, Merriam-Webster defines trust like this: “assured reliance on the character, ability, strength, or truth of someone or something”. If people trust you, you’ll get a lot farther in life. If not, you will struggle. So, who or what should be at the top of your trust list? You know the right answer to the “should” question, but the “who do you actually trust…” question reveals the real you. Where do you place your trust? Here’s the question that will help you determine where who is at the top of your list: Do you trust God as much as your doctor or dentist? How about your financial advisor, or the roller coaster or that airline pilot? Let’s ask it this way now: If you trusted God as much as you believe in the above people, what would your life be like? You build trust through relationship, so the person you trust is likely the person with whom you spend the most time. “Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.” Proverbs 29:25. Dwell on the questions above and resolve if you need to shuffle your list. It will change your day and transform your life.
“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” ~Isaiah 26:3.
